Sorry to hear you are having a few issues with the TVR. I will try to answer your queries.
I had problems with this when I first bought the car and was going to have it checked by a specialist, but then got used to using it and never had any more issues with it. It may be worth giving it a bit more time and just getting used to it.
If it keeps playing up, an alarm specialist should be able to sort it out.
This never happened to me at any time while I had the car. It always ticked over at about 900RPM. Has anything been changed or adjusted?
I would check all of the small vacuum pipes connected to the carburettor and engine breather system. Sounds like it could be an air leak upsetting something.
A lot of bushes were replaced especially at the front. I only used standard OEM bushes. Also replace some balljoints and wishbones. I replaced a lot of the suspension bolts so it should come apart easily, but I am not sure it's necessary as I did check everything, unless I missed something. The rear shockers are adjustable, but I left them as they were when I bought the car.
It may be worth having the tracking/geometry checked as I did not do that.
As far as I know, everything is standard. Don't know anything about a "Tornado chip". Not even sure what that is!
I did look at the diff bushes when I was doing the suspension and they looked ok. Also checked the driveshafts/CV joints and they all seemed ok. May be worth checking the propshaft joints or gearbox mounting bushes.
I think the front are standard, but am not sure about the rears as non-standard shock absorbers have been fitted.(coil overs).
This is located in the vertical section of exhaust under the bonnet and as far as I know is standard.
Hope all of this helps and you get everything sorted out.
